Passione Vino, ‘Passion for Wine’, is a wine shop and bar on Leonard Street in Shoreditch.
The wine shop and bar specialises in and serves only Italian wines, usually from smaller artisan producers.
Knowledgeable staff and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere make it a joy to visit and the cheese and meat platters are a delicious accompaniment to some excellent wines.
They are currently offering a delivery service on all wines – I love that they do “Memories of…” packages with wines from a particular part of Italy delivered with some charcuterie.
Quality Wines at The Quality Chop House
Opened originally in 1869, The Quality Chop House at the top of Farringdon Road near Exmouth Market, re-opened in 2013 as a restaurant, wine bar, butchers and shop, selling a range of British meat and fresh produce.
In normal times, Quality Wines operates as a shop during the day and then as a small wine bar serving food in the evenings.
Quality Wines is currently open from Wednesday to Sunday 9am – 5pm – they will also deliver wine within a 10km radius every Friday.
Noble Rot / Keeling Andrew & Co
The team behind Noble Rot wine magazine opened a restaurant and wine bar on Lamb’s Conduit Street back in 2015.
Noble Rot’s sibling company, Keeling Andrew & Co, which they use to import their favourite wines to their own and other restaurants, is now offering its services directly to us.
For the next few months Keeling Andrew & Co are offering cases of some of their best-loved wines, from Noble Rot restaurant’s house red and whites and most popular ‘greatest hits’ to cases of new discoveries and some classics.
Opened by Melanie Brown, founder of wine bar Specialist Cellars at nearby Pop Brixton, The Laundry offers an extensive wine list from some of the world’s top wine estates.
All wines are chosen for their distinctive style, featuring old world favourites and new world surprises. Wine deliveries are available throughout South London via sister company, Specialist Cellars.
You can also pop in for brunch on their lovely outdoor terrace pictured above.
The Laundry is open from 9am – 3pm, Monday – Saturday, and from 9am – 4pm on Sundays.
Located in Mayfair, just north of Berkeley square, Hedonism Wines is a ﬁne wine and spirits boutique with over 3,000 spirits and 6,500 wines.
You will find a wide range of rare and expensive items – they have something for every wine and spirits lover.
There are 32 ﬁne wines and 10 champagnes to taste on the Enomatic machines, so you can always pop-in to try something new.
An added bonus at Hedonism is that they have a children’s play area in the shop allowing you all the time you need to browse their collection.
Hedonism Wines is currently offering free UK delivery on all orders of more than 6 bottles or over £200.
Berry Bros & Rudd
Berry Bros. & Rudd is Britain’s oldest wine and spirit merchant, having traded from the same shop since 1698.
It has an extensive range of wines and spirits from £5 to £5000 and a team of extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff.
There is also a well-regarded wine school that hosts informal events for the public and private dining rooms available to hire for lunch, dinner, meetings or tastings.
Berry Bros & Rudd is still offering home deliveries on all items.
Borough Wines started out as a stall in the market and has since set up multiple wine shops across London.
They offer over 300 hundred wines, including natural, organic and biodynamic bottles, as well as a selection of local and international craft beers and boutique spirits.

10 Cases / Cave a Vin
10 Cases is a small, unpretentious restaurant in Covent Garden with wine as its main focus.
The restaurant only ever buys 10 cases of wine on a revolving basis so there are always new wines to try.
The Cave a Vin is the wine bar and shop next door showcasing a regularly changing selection of 300+ fine wines from across the world.
You can buy wine for take-away, enjoy in-house for £12 corkage or use their wine delivery service, Drop, which brings wine to your doorstep 7 days a week.
The Laughing Heart
The Laughing Heart is a late-night wine bar, dining room and off licence on Hackney Road.
There is a basement wine shop serving up organic and biodynamic wine – half of which you can have for under £50 in the upstairs dining room or less than £30 to take away.
The menu changes daily and to accompany the food, there is a wine list of 300 bottles to choose from.
The wine shop is still available for online collections or deliveries along with a selection of deli items.
Diogenes the Dog
Diogenes the Dog is a neighbourhood boutique wine bar, shop and café in Elephant & Castle, which has just launched a home delivery and sommelier service.
If you’re cooking a meal at home and need advice on which wine to pair with, give Diogenes the Dog a call and they’ll match the wine and deliver to your door.
With shops across London in Soho, Shoreditch, The City, South Kensington and Muswell Hill, Amathus is a family owned specialist drinks retailer, offering an outstanding range of boutique wines, premium spirits, craft beers and minerals.
56 West Smithfield
Family-run Wine Bar & Shop, 56 West Smithfield, offers award-winning wines from boutique producers at cave prices.
You can grab a bottle to go, stay to enjoy a glass at the bar, or buy online. All the wines are sold at their original, local winery prices, and there’s just a £5 corkage fee for those enjoyed at the bar.
