Passione e Vino
Passione e Vino, ‘Passion for Wine’, is a small wine shop and bar on Leonard Street in Shoreditch. The wine shop and bar specialises in and serves only Italian wines, usually from smaller artisan producers.
Knowledgeable staff and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere make it a joy to visit and the cheese and meat platters are a delicious accompaniment to some truly excellent wines.
Located in Mayfair, just north of Berkeley square, Hedonism Wines is a ﬁne wine and spirits boutique with over 1,000 spirits and 3,500 wines.
You will find a wide range of rare and expensive items – they have something for every wine and spirits lover.
There are 32 ﬁne wines and 10 champagnes to taste on the Enomatic machines, so you can always pop-in to try something new.
An added bonus at Hedonism is that they have a children’s play area in the shop allowing you all the time you need to browse their collection.
Berry Bros & Rudd
Berry Bros. & Rudd is Britain’s oldest wine and spirit merchant, having traded from the same shop since 1698.
It has an extensive range of wines and spirits from £5 to £5000 and a team of extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff.
There is also a well-regarded wine school that hosts informal events for the public and private dining rooms available to hire for lunch, dinner, meetings or tastings.
Borough Wines started out as a stall in the market and has since set up multiple wine shops across London.
They offer over 300 hundred wines, including natural, organic and biodynamic bottles, as well as a selection of local and international craft beers and boutique spirits.
10 Cases is a small, unpretentious restaurant in Covent Garden with wine as its main focus.
The menu comprises three starters, mains and desserts, as well as a list of daily specials with a wide-ranging menu of little plates to have at the bar.
The restaurant only ever buys 10 cases of wine so there are always new wines to try.
While not strictly a wine shop,10 Cases has launched a new wine delivery service, Drop, which brings wine to your doorstep.
The Laughing Heart
The Laughing Heart is a late-night wine bar, dining room and off licence on Hackney Road.
There is a basement wine shop serving up organic and biodynamic wine – half of which you can have for under £50 in the upstairs dining room or less than £30 to take away.
The menu changes daily and to accompany the food, there is a wine list of 300 bottles to choose from.
Albion Wine Shippers
Based in Bloomsbury, Albion Wine Shippers specialise in bringing the best Spanish wine to London, but also import from France, Italy, Germany, Chile and Portugal.
They have long-established relationships with artisan wineries and have a portfolio of original as well as affordable wines.
