The Fat Badger

Notting Hill latest ‘it’ restaurant, The Fat Badger offers a set tasting menu (that you won’t see until you arrive) of hearty dishes using British ingredients – think mains like beef fillet, salad and hasselback potatoes.

The dining room, with its wood panelling and candle light, is gorgeous, with a pristine kitchen on show.

The pub on the floor below is a must for a pre and post dinner drink with live music creating a fabulous atmosphere. You should try the sunday roast as well.

The Ledbury

The Ledbury in Notting Hill, is a bit of a place of pilgrimage for foodies.

Run by Australian chef Brett Graham, whose selection of dishes will delight and entertain with beautiful presentation.

It has recently had a complete revamp after a short closure, returning with a glammed-up redesign. Tables are hard to come by, but visit on a sunny day for a walk-in table on the terrace.

Dorian

Dorian is one of the most popular restaurants in Notting Hill, and deservedly so.

Head chef, Max Cohen, previously at Ikoyi and Kitchen Table, offers a seasonal British/European menu with a great wine list. A seat at the counter is perfect for solo dining.

The Princess Royal, Notting Hill

The Princess Royal from Cubitt House offers a Mediterranean-led menu from chef Ben Tish focusing on seasonal fish and shellfish set inside a gorgeous gastropub.

Guests can also enjoy the full Princess Royal menu in the the 45 cover garden.

The Pelican

The Pelican has been a pub in Notting Hill since 1870 and, following a full restoration, has relaunched as a pub and dining room.

Typical dishes on the dining room menu include: Raw beef with Gentleman’s Relish, Ham hock with egg mayo, Potted shrimp, Onglet and shallot, and Lobster and monkfish pie with lobster head gravy.

The pub offering is more casual with options such as mince on toast, Welsh rarebit, sausage roll and spider crab toast.

Caia

Caia is a wine bar, restaurant and music venue on Golborne Road in Notting Hill.

Alongside the wine, there’s an open kitchen turning out an excellent menu of small plates and snacks. Try the smoked stracciatella with burnt onion and airdried beef and angolotti with sweet potato, chicken wing butter and pecan.

Straker’s

TikTok star Thomas Straker opened his debut restaurant in October 2022 and it has become a real hit.

The Counter

From celebrated Turkish chef and restaurateur Kemal Demirasal, The Counter is a contemporary ocakbasi restaurant in Notting Hill.

Located on Golborne Road, The Counter showcases traditional south eastern Anatolian cooking styles mixed with the chef’s take on Turkish cuisine.

The menu includes items such as Chocolate babaganoush, mince kebab (satır kıyma) with lamb, paprika, isot pepper and molasses, served with tabla and onion salads and lavash bread and a sage infused burnt rice pudding (adaçaylı fırın sütlaç) with hazelnut.

Dove

Jackson Boxer’s latest restaurant is in Notting Hill, a neighbourhood restaurant that serves ‘elevated comfort food’. Try the tuna tostada, the wood-roast chicken or the fabulous burger that you’ll hopefully find on the specials’ baord.

Sunday in Brooklyn

An American hit (in Brooklyn, obviously!), sees the restaurant open an outpost in London with lunches and brunches in Notting Hill.

Granger & Co

Granger & Co is the line of restaurants from the Australian celebrity chef, Bill Granger.

The Cow

The small dining room is on the first floor above the packed pub and serves traditional British food – sausage and mash, fish and chips, seafood platters to share, fish pie.

The downstairs pub area also serves food, but the seating is pub-style (small round tables, banquettes and stools) and is more relaxed and much less formal than upstairs.

Casa Cruz

Juan Santa Cruz, known for his three restaurants in Buenos Aires, has brought his brand of glamour to Holland Park with restaurant Casa Cruz.

A sophisticated and elegant space with a shiny copper-walled dining room with a handsome oval cocktail bar, Casa Cruz serves Modern European cuisine with Argentinian influences.

Ukai

Ukai is very much a fusion restaurant – the main focus is Japanese, but with Mediterranean and South American infuences.

Gold

Notting Hill’s newest celeb haunt is owned by nightclub mogul Nick House and headed up by former River Café chef Theo Hill.

The seasonal menus focus on cooking over a flame or in the wood-fired oven with everything designed for sharing.

Six Portland Road

Six Portland Road is a small 40 seater restaurant with an ever-changing European-influenced menu, always with five choices for starters, main and dessert.
