For something a little different on the London hotel scene, consider checking into one of these members’ clubs with hotel rooms and facilities.
London is the home of the private members’ club and for those looking for something a little different when they visit London, consider booking a room in one of these members’ clubs with hotel rooms, offering hotel facilities as well as temporary access to the club.
The Ned, The City
The Ned is the latest addition to the Soho House Group, in partnership with the Sydell Group. The Ned is part hotel, part members’ club, part multiple restaurants in The City of London.
The sections reserved for members include a rooftop bar and restaurant with swimming pool with stunning views of London’s major landmarks, plus a basement Vault bar, private gym with boxing ring, an indoor pool and a number of spa facilities.
The Ned is a truly impressive private members’ club with rooms.
The Arts Club, Mayfair
The Arts Club was founded in 1863 for people who had professional or amateur relationships with the Arts, Literature or Sciences and it has been a thriving members’ club ever since.
With just 16 bedrooms and suites, the décor is understated but exquisite with art deco touches and marble bathrooms.
The jewel in The Arts Club’s crown is the Penthouse suite with its spacious entrance hall, generously proportioned living room, kitchen and dining area and a decked terrace overlooking the club’s courtyard, with a dining table for up to 12 guests.
The Twenty Two, Mayfair
The Twenty Two is housed in a gorgeous Edwardian mansion, right next to the former American Embassy on Grosvenor Square.
The 31-room hotel is designed in a plush, maximalist French style with a modern twist.
The restaurant and private members’ club target a much younger crowd than other Mayfair members’ clubs.
Shoreditch House, Shoreditch
The décor in the bedrooms at Shoreditch House is cool, simple, light and airy but the real attraction here is access to the club.
With a bowling alley, cowshed spa, gym and a heated rooftop pool with fantastic views over the City skyline, this is where you’ll want to be in the summer.
The Groucho Club
The Groucho Club is an iconic members’ club in Soho and features two bars, two restaurants and private dining rooms.
The twenty bedrooms are on the top floors of the building and come in all shapes and sizes from single rooms to family rooms. The décor is subtle and comfortable but with access to The Groucho Club itself you might not make it to bed at all.
Home House
Occupying a terrace of Georgian townhouses in elegant Portman Square, members and guests enjoy the splendour of 18th Century architecture and the opulence of neo-classical design in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The House has three different bars, drawing rooms, private event rooms, a boutique gym/spa, a courtyard garden, a cigar terrace, two restaurants and a nightclub.
Home House is a home from home and also has 23 uniquely designed, spacious guest rooms, from standard club rooms to suites.
