Following our visits to Palais Namaskar and Royal Mansour, we visit The Four Seasons Resort Marrakech, a delightful place to stay when visiting the city.
Just a few minutes from the main airport, the hotel offers stylish and elegant surroundings and is superbly positioned to explore Marrakech. A long, dramatic driveway leads you to a spectacular entrance filled with heavily scented roses.
The Four Seasons Resort Marrakech is full of charm and, although it’s very well suited for the business traveller, it is a great place to stay on a vacation. The hotel is situated within a 40 acre walled garden and offers a selection of rooms, suites and independent villas for guests.
Our suite was modern but with traditional Moroccan touches such as dark wood furniture, cool marble tiles and opulent screens made from intricate woodwork.
An additional dressing room and vast bathroom meant that the slightly small bedroom was not a problem.
This also opened onto a vast balcony with sun loungers – perfect for an aperitif as the sun goes down. The view from the balcony was spectacular and took in most of the grounds including a vast water feature, two swimming pools and perfectly manicured gardens.
The Four Seasons Resort Marrakech has a traditional Moroccan restaurant, which offers very good food with attentive staff. It is this restaurant, with its terrace and views of the water features and gardens, that serves breakfast each day.
An excellent selection of European and traditional Moroccan dishes are available with many made to order. The hotel also offers an Italian restaurant.
For daytime activities there is a spa offering beauty and relaxation treatments, and two excellent pools, one for families and one only for adults.
The pools are maintained to the highest standards and guests needn’t move a muscle as attendants bring regular cooling sorbets, sun tan lotion, the fluffiest of fresh towels and fruit salads to cater for your every need.
The Four Seasons Resort Marrakech is well designed to offer a private, quiet and calm setting. The gardens, stunning interiors and friendly and competent staff make for an indulgent space and a very happy stay.
