Located on Frith Street, Chotto Matte will &#8216;bring together the best of Japanese and Peruvian cultures serving up&#8217; &#8216;Nikkei cuisine, colourful cocktails, and live music&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Chotto Matte will continue the trend of Japanese \/ Peruvian blended restaurants in London following the success of <a title=\"Sushisamba London\" href=\"http:\/\/bonvivant.co.uk\/journal\/sushisamba-at-the-heron-tower\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sushisamba<\/a> in The City and <a title=\"coya mayfair\" href=\"http:\/\/bonvivant.co.uk\/journal\/coya-restaurant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coya<\/a> in Mayfair.<\/p>\n<p>Chotto Matte will feature 6 separate areas spread over three floors: A ground floor cocktail lounge with a curved bar cut from lava stone and retractable glass walls; a raised 55 seater restaurant and raw bar; an open Robata grill; a sushi bar; and 100-cover dining room on the upper level.<\/p>\n<p>Example dishes will include Avocado Tempura with smoked purple potato; BBQ Pork Belly nashi pear salsa; Grilled Baby Chicken with spicy pomegranate salsa; BBQ specialities from the Robata Grill, and a selection of fresh, sustainably sourced sushi.<\/p>\n<p>Open daily until 01:30, Chotto Matte will hopefully offer that rarest of species &#8211; a place for pre-dinner cocktails followed by dinner followed by late night drinks, all in one place, and all in a central Soho location.<\/p>\n<p>Chotto Latte will open in September, the same time as <a title=\"Merchant\u2019s Tavern Shoreditch\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bonvivant.co.uk\/journal\/merchants-tavern-shoreditch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Angela Hartnett&#8217;s Merchant Tavern<\/a>, so sign up to receive our full review in due course.<\/p>\n<p>Read our guide to the <a title=\"The Best Japanese Restaurants in London\" href=\"http:\/\/bonvivant.co.uk\/journal\/the-best-japanese-restaurants-in-london\/\">best Japanese restaurants in London<\/a>.<\/p>\n ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Looking ahead to September 2013, Chotto Matte is set to open in Soho, &#8216;bringing the energy of underground Tokyo&#8217;.
