Cabotte<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Cabotte is an intimate, cosy yet elegant restaurant serving classic French cuisine alongside a large collection of fine wines from Burgundy and beyond.<\/p>\n

The menu features a combination of classic and modern French dishes.<\/p>\n

Stand out dishes for us were the Oeuf Meurette – a poached egg served alongside smoked bacon and Lie de Vin sauce \u2013 and the delicate, woody and rich wild mushroom & onion tart with confit duck.<\/p>\n

The food is indulgent, the atmosphere convivial, and the wine list \u2013 curated by the restaurant founder and master sommeliers, Xavier Rousset and Gearoid Devaney – is exciting.<\/p>\n

Duck & Waffle<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Duck and Waffle<\/a>\u00a0sits on the 40th floor of Heron Tower in the City.<\/p>\n

The restaurant serves inventive British \/ European food 24 hours per day, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering beautiful views.<\/p>\n

\"DuckTry the signature ‘Duck & Waffle’ dish and the crispy pigs’ ears. With incredible views of London and food to match, Duck & Waffle is a contender for one of the best restaurants in The City.<\/p>\n

Blacklock City<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Blacklock, the Soho chophouse and one of our favourite Sunday lunch spots<\/a>, has just launched a sister restaurant in the City (and more recently another restaurant in Shoreditch<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Like its sister restaurant, Blacklock City specialises in high quality, chargrilled beef, lamb and pork chops, but it also offers an extended list of starters and selection of meat cuts.<\/p>\n

We loved the \u2018all-in\u2019 platter when we visited – a large sharing plate of beef, lamb, pork chops and cuts presented on chargrilled ciabatta dripping in delicious juices from the meat.<\/p>\n

Make sure to allow plenty of space for the signature dessert of white chocolate cheesecake served family-style at the table.<\/p>\n

Like Blacklock Soho, the City restaurant is at basement level but it is bigger than its sister restaurant with a separate cocktail bar which greets you as soon as you walk downstairs from street level.<\/p>\n

The dimly-lit atmosphere is cosy with tables set close together and if you can\u2019t make it to the bar for eating, there is even a cocktail trolley roaming around the restaurant to make sure you won\u2019t go thirsty.<\/p>\n

Ibai<\/h2>\n

For steak lovers and fans of simple, elegant cooking, Ibai near St Paul\u2019s cathedral is a restaurant to visit.<\/p>\n

The restaurant from Lurra founder Nemanja Borjanovi\u0107 is a Basque grill that serves some of the finest cuts of meat you\u2019ll find in the city.<\/p>\n

\"Ibai,Specialising in expertly aged steaks and Basque-inspired small plates such as Croque Ibai (a decadent black pudding prawn croque), the restaurant is a welcome addition to the area.<\/p>\n

Bob Bob Cite<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The sister restaurant to the popular Soho restaurant<\/a>, Bob Bob Ricard is located in the\u00a0Leadenhall Building (The Cheesegrater).<\/p>\n

Taking 5 years to build, the restaurant is absolutely stunning – and so upulent!<\/p>\n

The menu consists of classics French cuisine, including French Onion Soup, Escargots, Veal Blanquette and Daube de Boeuf Provencal.<\/p>\n

There are \u2018Pressez pour le champagne\u2019 buttons,\u00a0continuing the tradition of keeping Champagne on demand.<\/p>\n

The Ned<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Ned took the City by storm when it opened as a colossal hopsitality venue right by bank station.<\/p>\n

The Ned features a hotel with 252 bedrooms, 9 restaurants, several bars, a members\u2019 club<\/a> with rooftop pool, basement bars, indoor pool, full service gym with boxing ring, hair salon, nail spa, men\u2019s grooming salon<\/a>\u2026and much more!<\/p>\n

\"Cecconi's<\/p>\n

The restaurants, which are operated by Soho House, include a City outpost of Mayfair Italian restaurant Cecconi’s, the all-day Millie’s Lounge, Asian restaurant Kaia and a fantastc steak restaurant, Lutyens Grill<\/p>\n

Restaurant St Barts<\/h2>\n

A Michelin starred restaurant with great ambition that really delivers, Restaurant St Barts offers a multi course tasting menu using seasonal British ingredients.<\/p>\n

The evening starts in the relaxed bar are where you enjoy a welcome drink and your first 5 snack courses, before moving in to the beautiful dining room that overlooks St Bartholomew the Great, London\u2019s oldest church.<\/p>\n

Coya Angel Court<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The original Coya<\/a> opened in Mayfair bringing Peruvian food to the London jetset crowd with its attached members’ club as well as a restaurant and bar.<\/p>\n

Coya opened in the Angel Court development in The City, bringing its pisco sours and Latin American cuisine to the City crowd, including its popular weekend brunch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Vinoteca City<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Inspired by the wine bars<\/a> of Spain and Italy, Vinoteca has a number of bars across London that serve simple dishes made with fresh seasonal produce paired with high quality, characterful wine.<\/p>\n

As you would expect from Vinoteca, the wine list is impressive and they also have a goos Sunday roast<\/a> offering.<\/p>\n

Brigadiers<\/strong><\/h2>\n

JKS Restaurants (Gymkhana<\/a>, Trishna, Hoppers) launch Brigadiers, an Indian barbecue restaurant and tavern, at the Bloomberg Arcade in the City.<\/p>\n

Inspired by the army mess bars of India where military regiments go to eat, drink and socialise, Brigadiers can accommodate 140 covers indoors with another 34 on an outdoor terrace<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The menu mixes kebabs, chops, tikka and feasting plates, making this one of the best Indian restaurants in The City<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Angler Restaurant<\/strong><\/h2>\n

At the top of South Place Hotel in Moorgate, Angler offers a seasonally changing menu with excting dishes including Cornish mackerel tartare, oyster cream, apple, shiso.<\/em><\/p>\n

City Social<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Jason Atherton’s restaurant in The City is one of London’s best sky high dining<\/a> options on the 24th<\/sup> floor of Tower 42 with impressive views of the Capital\u2019s major landmarks.<\/p>\n

The 90-cover City Social<\/a> has a menu of creative yet simple dishes that showcase the best of British produce. To enjoy the view without dinner, try the City Social bar and its prohibition-inspired cocktails.<\/p>\n

Coq d\u2019Argent<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Coq d\u2019Argent has an outdoor terrace<\/a> and a large and rather beautiful garden terrace, with great views of some of London\u2019s most well known landmarks, including St Paul\u2019s Cathedral.<\/p>\n

The restaurant serves modern French cuisine while the brasserie and terrace serve a lighter menu with more of a modern European hint.<\/p>\n

Get there early during the week and be prepared to queue for the glass lift as it\u2019s a very popular destination with City workers, or visit for a more relaxed Sunday lunch on the weekend.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Don and The Sign of the Don<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A restaurant, bistro and bar near Bank in The City, The Don<\/a> serves modern European cuisine (with a French slant) in a building which used to house Sanderman\u2019s port warehouse.<\/p>\n

The atmosphere is calm and relaxed that the food is consistently good. There are a number of private dining rooms available, some in the port and sherry vaults, for business lunches<\/a> and dinners.<\/p>\n

Sushisamba
\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Sushisamba London<\/a> offers a mix of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine, and with its rooftop position on the 38th and 39th floors of the Heron Tower in The City, it also has rather impressive views.<\/p>\n

The menu features items from a Robata grill, along with a variety of ceviches and tiraditos, sushi rolls and numerous sharing plates.<\/p>\n

Sushisamba London has two large outdoor terraces, one of which has a stunning copper coloured tree as a focus point above the bar. In the warmer months, the restaurant has one of the\u00a0best rooftop bars in London<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yauatcha City<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I can\u2019t think of many places in London I would rather visit for dim sum than\u00a0Yauatcha<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Describing itself as a dim sum teahouse, Yauatcha specialises in just that \u2013 in addition to the fantastic dim sum menu, it offers over 60 types of tea.<\/p>\n

Visit for a quick dim sum lunch or for a full three course dinner. Just try making it out the door without picking up a box of macaroons from the patisserie to take home with you.<\/p>\n

Hawksmoor Guildhall<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Hawksmoor group undoubtedly has some of the best steak restaurants in London it its portfolio, including city-based Hawksmoor Guildhall.<\/p>\n

Hawksmoor Guildhall is in a big basement space with 160 covers in the restaurant, 75 in the bar and a private dining room<\/a> seating 22<\/p>\n

Opening in the morning for a proper breakfast before work before turning into the group’s regular menu of excellent steaks, you can’t go wrong at Hawksmoor Guildhall.<\/p>\n

Enoteca Super Tuscan<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Enoteca Super Tuscan is more of an elevated wine bar<\/a> than full on restaurant, located on a quiet side street in Spitalfields.<\/p>\n

The focus here is on an excellent list of Italian wines with a range of traditional Tuscan dishes also available.<\/p>\n

Canto Corvino<\/strong><\/h2>\n

From the people behind Manicomio, Canto Corvino is an\u00a0Italian restaurant<\/a>\u00a0in a low-key space with warehouse lighting, booth seating and a basement\u00a0private dining room<\/a>.<\/p>\n

From salumi and raw plates to Josper-grilled meats and homemade pasta, the open kitchen at this sleek Spitalfields Italian offers an all-day menu,\u00a0weekend brunch<\/a>\u00a0and a feasting menu served in the private dining room.<\/p>\n

Koya City<\/h2>\n

Koya City is located in the Bloomberg Arcade. <\/span><\/p>\n

The restaurant has become renowned for its udon and dashi, handmade fresh every day at Koya\u2019s noodle workshop.<\/span><\/p>\n

Galvin La Chapelle<\/h3>\n

Galvin La Chapelle is the Galvin brothers\u2019 venture in St Botolph\u2019s Hall, a beautiful 19th<\/sup> century building close to Spitalfield Market.<\/p>\n

\"GalvinThe fine dining restaurant is dark and romantic<\/a>, but during the day makes a good spot for lunch in beautiful surroundings.<\/p>\n

The Galvin brothers also have a more casual all-day cafe with outdoor seating.<\/p>\n

Cloth<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Located near Barbican, this neighbourhood-style restaurant has a heavy focus on wine. It features a wine bar<\/a> where you can enjoy some small plates, and a cosy dining room.<\/p>\n
