South African restaurant Little Kudu opens in Peckham, Richard Corrigan opens at The National Portrait Gallery and Bellanger reopens after a full refurbishment.

Little Kudu
Little Kudu is a South African inspired restaurant that opens this month in Peckham from the husband and wife team of Amy Corbin and Patrick Williams.
Dishes will include the Little Kudu loaf with Cape Malay butter; chicken liver parfait tartlet with spiced pineapple; smoked peri peri mussels and ham hock terrine with gribiche pickles and biltong scratchings.
The wine list will focus on mainly South African wines sourced from family-owned wineries.
Sam’s Kitchen
Sam Harrison will open a new café in Hammersmith called Sam’s Kitchen, serving coffees, juices, classic breakfast and lunch dishes.
All-day breakfast will mix traditional favourites (Goldstein Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Eggs; Sam’s Full English Fry Up) with additional items such as Brixham Crab on Homemade Crumpets with Lobster Mayonnaise and Chestnut Mushroom & Gruyère Omelette with Spring Greens & Wild Garlic.
The Portrait at the National Portrait Gallery
The Portrait by chef Richard Corrigan will launch this month as part of The National Portrait Gallery refurbishment project.
Situated on the top floor with panoramic views of London’s skyline and sculptures from the Gallery’s collection, the restaurant’s menu will focus on the best seasonal ingredients from the British Isles and take inspiration from Corrigan’s favourite signature dishes.
Bossa
Brazilian chef Alberto Landgraf, who is behind the two Michelin-starred Oteque in Rio de Janeiro, is to open Bossa in Marylebone, in a 60-cover space with an open plan kitchen.
Dishes will include skewered duck hearts with farofa, and roasted scallops with leeks and tucupi sauce.
Empire Empire
Gunpowder founder Harneet Baweja will launch his latest restaurant, the Indian disco-inspired Empire Empire in Notting Hill in mid June.
Empire Empire ‘will have music and art at its heart,’ with a custom jukebox playing ‘Bollywood bangers’. Dishes will include chicken malai curry, lobster biryani, and malai methi matar.
Bellanger
Bellanger, the neighbourhood restaurant in Islington, relaunches on 1st June following a full refurbishment with a new menu.
Inspired by the southern Mediterranean expect dishes such as Provençal goats’ cheese salad; carpaccio of candy beetroot; heritage tomato panzanella and steak tartare.
There will also be a brand new cocktail bar.
Kima
Kima is a modern Greek fin-to-gill restaurant opening in Marylebone this month.
The main focus at Kima will be the fish counter, displaying the catch of the day from whole turbots and groupers to freshly caught langoustines and hand dived scallops.
