Jean-Georges at the Connaught

Jean-Georges Vongerichten and The Connaught have collaborated to open a new restaurant at the hotel – Jean-Georges at The Connaught.

Jean-Georges at The Connaught offers informal gourmet dining, all day, in a relaxed, contemporary setting.

The eclectic, imaginative menus are inspired by Jean-Georges’ signature use of South-east Asian flavours, while also featuring his distinctive take on British and Connaught classics.

IKOYI

Ikoyi is a new restaurant on St James’s Market serving contemporary West African cuisine.

Iré Hassan-Odukale and Head Chef Jeremy Chan are behind the restaurant with dishes such as Rare Breed Lamb Ribs with Asun Relish and Octopus Pepper Soup with Coastal Herbs.

Joe Allen restaurant in Covent Garden has been offering classic American cuisine in a New York-style setting since 1977.

The historic theatre-land restaurant in London’s West End is to move from Essex Street to a new home this summer on Burleigh Street. The restaurant décor will remain the same to retain the heart and soul of the old restaurant.

Magpie

Magpie is the new opening from the co-founders of Michelin-starred Pidgin, James Ramsden and Sam Herlihy.

With a modern British menu, diners will be able to select plates straight from a trolley, mirroring traditional dim-sum style service.

RIGO’

A modern fine dining restaurant serving ‘Italian cuisine with global influences’, RIGO’ opened this month in West London.

Menu highlights include Sea urchin with bagna cauda quail egg and fermented milk and Riso Aquerello with mortadella, smoked paprika and bottarga.

Minnow

Minnow has opened in SW4, serving “a well travelled menu of modern European dishes with a nod to the Indian Ocean”.

Minnow is located in Clapham Old Town, overlooking the park, and is open all day for breakfast lunch and dinner and also for weekend brunch.

The Ivy Tower Bridge

The Ivy Collection has opened The Ivy Tower Bridge, right on the banks of the River Thames within touching distance of Tower Bridge.

Open seven days a week, The Ivy Tower Bridge offers modern British classics from dawn until dusk, including breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, light snacks, dinner and cocktails.

Following the success of temper Soho, Neil Rankin will open a second site in the City this summer.

As with temper Soho, fire and wine will be at the core of temper City with top quality gin, wines from the New World on the menu and curry cooked on the signature open fire pit.

Meraki

Meraki is a new contemporary Greek restaurant in Fitzrovia.

Meraki aims to offer ‘the finest Mediterranean ingredients with warm and generous hospitality and cosmopolitan flare’.

The restaurant has a ground level restaurant and bar, counter-dining and two alfresco terraces.

Bernardi’s launch ‘Summer Sundays’

Marylebone restaurant Bernardi’s has announced the launch of ‘Summer Sundays’ running weekly from July through to September.

Each week will see Head Chef Sabrina Gidda serve her new weekend menu bringing together twists on classic brunch dishes.

Following brunch, guests can move downstairs to The Dog House, Bernardi’s basement cocktail bar.

Meanwhile in Brighton…

Pascere

Pascere is a new bright and airy restaurant in Brighton. Head Chef Johnny Stanford’s elegant and creative menus include an all-day selection of small plates, à la carte lunch and dinner menu and an evening-only tasting menu.

Sample dishes include Lamb sweetbreads, ewes milk panacotta and sorrel ice cream and Confit trout with trout tartare, cauliflower and elderberry meringue.
