New London Restaurant Openings – December 2015

The Ivy Kensington Brasserie

The latest addition to the Ivy restaurant portfolio, The Ivy Kensington Brasserie, will open on 15 December 2015. The restaurant will offer an all-day dining experience, and as with The Ivy Kensington Brasserie’s sister sites, tables will be held back for walk-ins.

Christmas Carols at Bibendum Restaurant

Bibendum Restaurant will celebrate the festive season with a Christmas Carol concert in aid of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity on 16th December from 7.30pm to 8.15pm.

The acapella choir, Hackney Voices, will perform Christmas classics and carols while guests enjoy mince pies and mulled wine in Bibendum’s oyster bar.

Kanada-Ya launches second restaurant

Japanese ramen restaurant Kanada-Ya will launch its second site on Monday, 30 November 2015, just off Haymarket.

The new site will offer the same selection of ramen alongside some new additions and an extended drinks menu including Japanese craft beer, rare Japanese Whiskeys and a wider wine selection.

Tokimeitē

Tokimeitē, which opened at the end of November, is operated by Zen-Noh Group, in collaboration with internationally renowned chef, Yoshihiro Murata, who has seven Michelin stars across his three restaurants in Kyoto and Tokyo.

The menu includes chargrilled soy marinated rump steak; a table simmered Wagyu Sukiyaki served with onion and watercress in miso dashi with a side of creamy truffle sauce; and a variety of sashimi sets and sushi rolls.

The 70-cover restaurant, which is set over three floors, is designed to celebrate elements from Japanese seasons, shrines and temples.

The House of Ho

Following the success of their Soho Vietnamese restaurant, the team behind the House of Ho is opening a new flagship restaurant on 1st December 2015 on Percy Street.

Set in a four-storey townhouse, the Vietnamese restaurant will be open for lunch, dinner and drinks, seven days a week in a stylish and relaxed setting. The House of Ho will also have three private dining rooms available for private hire.

Sartoria

Following a period of refurbishment, Sartoria on Saville Row re-opens its doors on Monday 7th December with renowned Italian chef Francesco Mazzei (previously at L’Anima a restaurant in The City) at the helm as chef patron.

The refurbishment sees the addition of a new bar and cicchetti counter, two private dining rooms as well as a wine cellar with 250 bins where head sommelier Michael Simms will host private wine tasting events.

New Year’s Eve at Percy & Founders

Percy & Founders will offer a three course set menu to say farewell to 2015 with dishes such as Cured Halibut with Shaved Fennel, Spiced Orange Dressing & Dill, Beef Fillet & Braised Ox Cheek with Horseradish Mash, Truffle Jus, and Dark Chocolate & Caramel Fondant with Scotch Vanilla Ice Cream.

Percy and Founders

Available on 31st December only from 6pm-10.30pm, the New Year’s Eve Menu is priced at £80 per person and includes a glass of NV Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve Champagne on arrival.

Diners will also receive an after dinner cocktail and the opportunity to dance in 2016 with a DJ from 10pm onwards.
